Pregnancy is a susceptible subject; thus, body pillows are a niche product that does not get much love. This relatively new market has yet to be explored, so it is hard to say anything meaningful about it. Nevertheless, if you believe in science and statistics, the likelihood of this product being successful is too low.

Lupantte Pregnancy Pillows are ideal for the growing midwife and are a product that requires regular care. The lack of pillows in maternity wards is so common that "with all due respect" contains no alternatives, as they are all too common. Lupantte Pregnancy Pillows are custom-made to fit your patients perfectly, and there is no need to buy multiple packs of identical ones and fill them with different tea bags.

Pregnant women often experience pain, and their beds are often too soft for their liking. For women who have trouble sleeping, it also causes the wearing down of ligaments in the hips. The pain and pressure on joints detract from one's quality of life. PharMeDoc's revolutionary C-Shape pillow provides comfort and support to help with post-natal needs like back pain and joints.

Sleeping more sounds like a good thing, but for some women, sleeping pills can be life-threatening side effects after a few weeks of pregnancy. Many health professionals recommend abstaining from sleeping pills to protect women's health, even if they are on their journey toward motherhood. INSEN Pregnancy Pillow is created to provide adequate protection against any side effects of sleeping pills while giving comfort and support to women on their journey towards motherhood.

After getting certified as a midwife, I am trained to care for pregnant women. However, purchasing the perfect maternity pillows for the mother and her baby is expensive. So why not buy one that provides excellent relief from postpartum pain? With QUEEN ROSE Pregnancy Pillow, you can rest your head on a luxury pillow that relieves pain after pregnancy. It will also double as a fantastic Mother's Day present!

Buying Guide

Best pregnancy body pillows provide the perfect solution! They are designed to provide comfort and support for pregnant women to maintain a restful sleep throughout the night. With the best pregnancy body pillows, you can enjoy sleeping again with peace of mind:

  • Your Sleeping Position

Sleeping on your side is best for you and your baby during pregnancy. Many people do not naturally gravitate toward side sleeping or may move around a lot in their sleep. Dr. Shepherd says that this is where pillows can be beneficial.

"Using a pregnancy pillow can help you adjust to sleeping in this position if you are normally a back or stomach sleeper," she says. "You can also try using multiple pillows and position them around you to keep you on your side throughout the night or propping yourself up a bit to help avoid turning."

Essentially, the pillow becomes a guard rail in training your sleeping body to stay in the best position.

  • Pillow Shape

There is a wide range of pillow shapes on the market, each with benefits for different parts of your body and different positions.

"The benefit of a pregnancy pillow is to give added support to your body as your pregnancy progresses," Dr. Mysore says. "Typically, most pregnancy pillows are there to support the belly, but many also help with back and hip support."

Among the many shapes of pregnancy pillows are:

  • U-shaped:

The giant pillows provide total body support and are suitable for flipping side to side, but it also takes up the most room.

  • C-shaped:

While still significant, this shape provides more flexibility. It can be a better option for more extensive and petite bodies and will only take up a little room in the bed.

  • Wedge:

A wedge shape provides very targeted and specific support. It is beneficial to know precisely the area on the body that could use the help but may not provide enough support.

  • I-shaped:

Shaped like a typical body pillow, these help one side of the body and can take up less room in a smaller bed.

  • J-shaped:

Smaller, this shape can provide both upper and lower body support. Often women can wrap their legs around the bottom of the "J" for pelvic positioning. It can also be flipped upside down to provide additional upper-body cushioning.

  • Firmness

While you will want the pillow to be comfortable, a firm pillow is recommended. "Firm is better for a pregnancy pillow," Dr. Mysore explains. "You want the pillow to support you while you are sleeping. When firm, it can help support your joints and your back while sleeping." A pillow that is too soft will not provide support and will take up space in the bed.

  • Materials

The fabric needs to be breathable, comfortable, and easy to wash. "Consider things like density, as far as how soft or firm the support is, the kind of material it has made out of, and looking for other things like how easy that may be to clean or travel with if needed," Dr. Shepherd says. If the pillow does not work for the life you live, it will not be helpful at all.

  • Size

Choose a pillow that will not overwhelm the space you have in your bed. While your comfort is imperative, consider your partner and discuss if the pillow is overtaking their space in the bed.

"My husband did not like the pillow–he said it took up too much of our [king-sized] bed!" Hutten told us. "But my cat dug it–she slept inside it with me every night!"Reminding that the pillow (and the pregnancy) are temporary can be helpful.

FAQs

Is Au shaped or C-shaped pregnancy pillow better?
  • Is a pregnancy pillow that is C-shaped or U-shaped preferable? Depending on your search criteria. Although it takes up more bed area, a U-shaped version will support your front and back. A C-shaped pillow is another option, but it will not provide the full-body support you want and will take up less room.
Does a body pillow work for pregnancy?
  • A whole-body pillow will support almost everything. These are oversized cushions to fit women of any height, and the second trimester is the best time to use them. It will support your back and ease any hip or back discomfort you might be experiencing.
Why should a pregnant woman sleep with a pillow between her legs?
  • Placing a pillow between your legs maintains the neutral position of your pelvis and stops your spine from moving while you sleep.
